Ucchishtha Ganapati Sadhana

The 8th form among the 32 manifestations of Lord Ganesha is known as Uchhishtha Ganapati. He holds a unique place in the scriptures and tantric texts (Mudgala Purana and Tantrasara) and is known for his immense power and benevolence.

In this divine form, he has a red complexion and is seated on a lotus, accompanied by his spiritual consort, Hastipishachi, who sits on his left lap. The Uchhishtha Ganapati Kavacham beautifully captures his essence:

prasannavadanam patu pato’mam bhagavalah bhagah |
jatadharah sada patu patu mam cha karitah ||

(He is the deity who is always ecstatically blissed out, is the most radiant one, and protects His devotees from all troubles and negativity.)

He is revered as Kshipra Siddhi Dayaka, the quick bestower of all accomplishments.

Anyone interested in tantric practices must first complete the Ucchista Ganapati Sadhana before undertaking any other tantra sadhana. This sadhana is described as the “essence of all tantras” and is known to satisfy all desires.

By worshipping Lord Ganapati, obstacles in both physical and spiritual life are removed. And as the god of prosperity, his grace fills one’s life with happiness and joy.
